'Bit of poo chute in mine': Courtney Roulston and Reece Hignell are left HORRIFIED after MasterChef judges discover digestive tracts in their prawn dishes

Courtney Roulston and Reece Hignell felt the pressure during Tuesday's episode of MasterChef, after they were tasked with cooking one of judge Jock Zonfrillo's complicated prawn dishes.

After taking her dish over to the judges' table for them to taste, Courtney was left red-faced after forgetting to devein the prawn.

'That's unfortunate,' commented Jock, 43, as he lifted the prawn with the digestive tracts hanging out after pulling it apart.

The discovery prompted the other contestants to cringe, while a clearly rattled Courtney took a deep breath.

'What happened here? You just didn't take it out. It can happen. It's just, it's one of those things you've got to check,' Jock told her.

'You just can't eat it,' he added, before putting the prawn back down on the plate.

A clearly disappointed Courtney acknowledged that the mistake would probably be enough to land her in the second round before elimination.

'One minor thing like that can make a massive difference in this kitchen,' she explained.

And unfortunately Courtney wasn't the only one who forgot to devein the prawns, with Reece also coming under fire from the judges.

'Bit of poo chute in mine,' commented Jock, before scraping it out with his fingers.

'Yeah, I've got some in mine, too,' added fellow judge Andy Allen, causing Reece to wince.

Meanwhile, a silent Melissa Leong was left pulling a long digestive track out of her prawn with her fingers.

'That's a beast!' remarked Andy, 31, causing Reece's jaw to drop wide open.

'Having a poo chute in your prawn, not great. Which is a shame, 'cause the cooking was good,' Jock told him.

'But when you miss that little step, it doesn't matter how good you're cooking. You missed the step.'

'Also you guys are sucking almost the entirety of a prawns internal organs out of its head. Cut the poo chute out, we've all done it,' wrote one person.

Added another: 'Toughen up and eat your s**t chutes... Gives them extra flavour.'
