Southeast Oklahoma's Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show 2020 suspended due to COVID-19 pandemic

BROKEN BOW - The 2020 Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show has been suspended due to the coronavirus pandemic. 

One of Oklahoma’s most popular fall festivals, the free event usually takes place in November at the Forest Heritage Center in Beavers Bend State Park. The long-running event brings 17,000 visitors to southeastern Oklahoma each year, just in time for the fall colors. 

Since the festival has been scrapped for this year, Forest Heritage Center staffers have compiled a list of vendor contact information and photos to help patrons find the artists and hand-crafted products they're used to finding at the festival. To see the list, go to tinyurl.com/y6bcr2fv.

The 27th annual Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show has been scheduled for November 12-14, 2021. 

The festival features turn-of-the-century arts and demonstrations, Celtic and early American music and tantalizing aromas and flavors in the outdoor food court. Visitors can enjoy one-stop holiday shopping by browsing through rooms filled with hand crafted wooden toys, arts and crafts, Oklahoma wine, homemade quilts and aprons.

The Beavers Bend Folk Festival & Craft Show is made possible by the Forest Heritage Center Advisory Board, Oklahoma Arts Council, McCurtain County Tourism Authority, Oklahoma Tourism and Recreation Department and Oklahoma Forestry Services. The festival is free to the public.
