Clark Co. Broadband Expansion project set to connect more residences with ‘high-speed’ internet

Today will mark the completion of the Clark County Broadband Expansion project, bringing faster services to the rural and previously unserved parts of the county.

The $3 million expansion includes 61 miles of new infrastructure bringing “ultra-fast broadband service to more than 415 homes that previously did not have service,” according to a press release.

Areas affected include New Carlise, South Charleston, and South Vienna.

Later this morning, a ribbon-cutting ceremony is set to be held at the M&M Feed and Supply in South Vienna.

Presentations from Clark County Commissioner Melanie Flax Wilt, State Senator Bob Hackett, and State Representative Kyle Koehler will be included in the ceremony.
