Two Doña Ana County women among seven new COVID-19 deaths in New Mexico

Two women from Doña Ana County were listed among seven new COVID-19-related deaths in the state of New Mexico Tuesday as cases across the state rose by 301.

One of the Doña Ana County women was in her 60s, was hospitalized and had underlying conditions.

The second woman was in her 70s, had underlying conditions and was a resident of the Good Samaritan Society senior community in Las Cruces.

On Monday, New Mexico state health officials announced a woman in her 100s who was also a resident of the Good Samaritan Society senior community in Las Cruces died from COVID-19.

According to the New Mexico Department of Health, there are now 19,791 confirmed cases of COVID-19 in New Mexico, 7,657 of which have recovered, and there have been 626 deaths from the disease.
