203 new confirmed COVID-19 cases in Mass., 10 new deaths

BOSTON - The Massachusetts Department of Public Health reported an additional 203 confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday.

In addition, the DPH confirmed 10 new COVID-19-related deaths across the state, bringing the state's confirmed coronavirus death toll to 8,125.

In addition to the total of 105,986 confirmed cases in Massachusetts, health officials also reported 100 new probable cases for a total of 6,144 probable cases.

As of Tuesday, 560 patients with the coronavirus were hospitalized in Massachusetts, with 93 were reported to be in an intensive care unit and 37 intubated. One month ago, there were 1,039 people hospitalized, with 244 in the ICU and 156 intubated.

The key indicators guiding the reopening of the economy continue their downward trend. The seven-day weighted average rate of positive tests is 1.6%, down from 2.7% a month ago. The three-day average of hospitalizations is 571, down from 1,045 a month ago. The three-day average of deaths is 8, down from 32 a month ago.

Morton Hospital is reporting one patient, and that one is in the ICU. A month ago, they had nine patients, with one in the ICU.

Charlton Memorial Hospital is reporting 16 patients, with three in the ICU. A month ago, they had 55 patients, with 13 in the ICU.

St. Luke's is reporting 13 patients, with two in the ICU. A month ago, they had 38, with seven in the ICU.

Saint Anne's is reporting two patients, with zero in the ICU. A month ago, they had no COVID-19 patients.
