MANAMA: Alcatel has announced the launch of its A5 LED smartphone in Bahrain.
Touted as the “world’s first interactive LED-covered smartphone”, A5 LED delivers on Alcatel’s enjoy now promise with innovations for energetic young consumers, said a statement.
“With the A5 LED, Alcatel is delivering new fun features, like light-up notifications and unique LED cover patterns and themes you create yourself, as well as an enhanced multimedia experience and more ways to take and share selfies, ideal for people who value having fun and letting their personality shine,” said Alcatel Middle East and Africa vice-president Ruediger Odenbach.
The A5 LED also has 4G LTE connectivity and an octa-core processor with a 5.2-inch HD display.
The device has a 5 MP front camera with selfie flash for brighter selfies in low light.
It comes with Face Beauty software and Face Show, which allows selfies to be turned into personalised video clips.
There is also a 13 MP rear camera with dual-tone flash.
The A5 LED also features a private mode, with a different sign-in to protect hidden photos and apps.
Priced at BD91.99, the device will be available in Bahrain from next week at Ansar Gallery, Carrefour and LuLu stores, the statement added.
