Southern Indiana man dies in rollover crash Saturday in Jennings County
A southern Indiana man died after a rollover crash Saturday.The Jennings County Sheriff's Office said the crash was reported after 5 p.m. on County Road 500 North in Geneva Township.According to investigators, the driver, Shane Clarkson, was driving a 1997 Oldsmobile Cutlass west on County Road 500, when the vehicle veered off the northside of the road.The car then struck a ditch, becoming airborne and rolling over multiple times.Clarkson, 46, of North Vernon, was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries, according to the sheriff's office. He died at the scene.Investigators said drugs and alcohol are not believed to be factors in the crash, but speed and failure to use a seatbelt are contributing factors.Additional details were not released.
