The weather service said winds will be 25 to 35 mph, with gusts up to 60 mph. You can expect the winds to blow down trees and power lines, and power outages are expected. Travel will also be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles on north south roads.

The increasing winds are due to a strong low pressure system approaching the area, the weather service said.

A line of thunderstorms is even possible Tuesday evening into Wednesday. Some of these storms could be strong or severe. The weather service said there is also a limited tornado risk south of I-88.
