Police said a man used a handgun to smash a glass case during a robbery at a jewelry store in Greenwich
GREENWICH, CT — Police said a man used a handgun to smash a glass case during a robbery at a jewelry store in the Byram area of town early Wednesday evening. Lt. Mark Zuccerella said the robbery occurred at Byram Jewelers, located on Mill Street.
Zuccerella said a handgun was displayed during the robbery and used to smash a glass case, however no one was injured. (To sign up for Greenwich breaking news alerts and more, click here.)
The suspect is described by police as a tall man wearing a Fedora-style hat, a surgical mask, a black sweater and jeans. He was also carrying a yellow shopping bag, police said.

The suspect fled the area in a Honda, Zuccerella said. Detectives are currently investigating the incident.
