Kevin Love and Kate Bock get married in New York City: It's All Good News

Plus, we have a new pizza spot opening up in Lakewood and a huge boost to a local animal shelter!

CLEVELAND — It's time for a new week of good news! Maybe hard to believe, but we're just a day away from July. We hope this nice weather has been good to your mental health. If you need another pick me up, allow us to help!

The weather has certainly been keeping everyone smiling according to your answers to our question "What's got you smiling?" this week. Remember, you can always share what makes you smile every Monday when we post our graphic on 3News Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter pages! Stephanie shares them every week, too.

Now to some great news out of Lakewood! We're sending good vibes to a brand new pizza restaurant, Boom's Pizza, set to open later this year. The location will be at the corner of Warren Road and Detroit Avenue, where Campbell's Popcorn used to be.

The pizza parlor will be opened by chef Ben Bebenroth alongside culinary partner Jonathan Bennett. The recipe is no stranger to the Cleveland community, as Bebenroth’s Grandpa "Boom" used to test out the pizza over the years at the weekly pop-up at Spice Hospitality Group's headquarters. Can't wait for that!

Now, our Win of the Week goes to our very own Austin Love who threw out the first pitch at the Guardians game this week! No broken bones (on him or anyone else nearby) and a beautiful night for a ballgame, so we count that as a win. Check out his throw!

My first pitch? “Juuuust a bit outside!” #chinmusic

And how about this. Petco presented Friendship APL in Lorain with a 60-thousand dollar grant to use towards things like life-saving critical care and travel this week. The Executive Director told us this is the second toughest time he's seen for animals. Shelters are overwhelmed and they are now rescuing pets from all over the country. So far this year they've taken in 14-hundred animals- so we know that money is going to go far.
