A Cottage Grove man who allegedly shot three people on London Road was charged with felony assault.

Boudie Ryan Lancaster, 44, was arrested by Lane County Sheriff’s deputies Monday and arraigned Tuesday afternoon in Lane County Circuit Court. He faces four felony charges: two counts of first-degree assault and single count each of second-degree assault and of felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputies from Lane and Douglas counties responded at about 1:40 a.m. Monday to a report of a shooting in the 72900 block of London Road south of Cottage Grove, according to the sheriff’s office.

There they found three people with gunshot wounds, and after investigating, arrested Lancaster on suspicion of the crime.

Court documents allege that Lancaster shot two of the three people involved, and caused injury to the third person by firing the gun, resulting in “shrapnel wounds.”

First-degree assault and second-degree assault are Measure 11 crimes in Oregon. First-degree assault carries a minimum sentence of seven years and six months and second-degree assault has a minimum of five years and 10 months.

Lancaster is scheduled for a pre-trial hearing on Sept. 9.
