'Brawl Stars' Tips and Tricks Guide: Farm Trophies, Earn Brawlers and Unlock Wizard Barley

Brawl Stars is the newest game released by Supercell, combining hero shooter elements with highly addictive mobile gameplay. With 22 brawlers to choose from, the game has a ton to offer those looking for a traditional competitive experience, but who don't like Overwatch . You might be looking to figure out which is the best brawler, but we won't know that for at least a few weeks.

There are five main Brawl Stars game modes to unlock. Here are the first three you'll encounter:

Gem Grab- The first available mode has players fight on a tiny map to get all the gems they can carry. The first team to 10 gems is the winner, but it's not that easy to hold onto your prize loot. Whenever you die, you'll drop all the gems you've collected and your enemies or allies can pick them up. This makes games feel fast and fun, rarely feeling one-sided or unfair.

Showdown- Brawl Stars has its own version of a battle royale, which pits 10 fighters against one another to see who can survive the longest. Crates are stationed throughout the map and contain green crystals to power up your brawler. As the game progresses, a green gas encircles and slowly engulfs the arena.

Heist- One of the current rotating modes is a MOBA-style game where you have to protect your safe. Six players in two teams of three try to damage their opponents' safe. The player who suffers the least damage after two and a half minutes is the winner.

Here are some extra tips for players new to Brawl Stars, who want the most out of the game.

Brawl Stars : Basic Tips for Beginners

Brawl Boxes- Whenever you win a match, you'll earn Brawl Tokens that help you unlock Brawl Boxes. These freemium chests of wonder contain new Brawlers, coins and the Power Points needed to upgrade your brawlers. Once you earn enough PP with one of your brawlers, you'll be able to upgrade them and make them even more powerful. These boxes come fairly regularly in the beginning, but become rarer as you advance.

Earn Trophies Faster- Trophies are Brawl Stars' progression system, which lets you unlock new fighters and perks. You earn more trophies from better performances in games and lose trophies for placing tenth in Showdown. Gem Grab seems to be the easiest way to grind trophies, with its shorter matches and easier strategy.

Big Box- Playing well in games will earn you Star Tokens, which unlock powerful brawlers and more Power Points. These are rarer and more powerful than their tinier counterparts, so open these whenever you can.

Unlock Wizard Barley- Brawl Stars players can get a free skin for the robotic bartender Barley by linking their Supercell ID to their account. Click on the upper-right icon on the screen in the home menu. On the second row, there should be a "SuperCell ID" button. Log in to the account you already have, or register a new one with your email address. You should now have an awesome new winter-themed skin for your robot buddy.
