The 2011 fifth-round pick from North Carolina had three different stints with the Texans (2011-13, 2015, 2017), and in that time compiled 1,993 passing yards in 21 games.

9. Tom Savage

The former 2014 fourth-round pick from Pittsburgh got to see significant action in the 2016 season in relief of Brock Osweiler. In 2017, Savage got to see more action as rookie quarterback Deshaun Watson was lost for the year after the first seven games with a torn ACL. Savage tallied 2,000 yards with Houston.

A fan favorite, the former Houston Cougar got his chance to play for the Texans in 2013, a disastrous injury-riddled 2-14 campaign that got coach Gary Kubiak fired at the end of the year. Keenum returned at the end of 2014 to lead Houston to a 9-7 finish under first-year coach Bill O’Brien. Keenum left the Texans with 2,195 passing yards.

7. Ryan Fitzpatrick

Fitzpatrick spent only the 2014 season with the Texans, playing in 12 games. However, it was enough to tally 2,483 passing yards.

6. Brian Hoyer

Another quarterback who spent just one season with the Texans, Hoyer played in 11 games and threw for 2,606 yards.

5. Brock Osweiler

The former Denver Bronco is the only quarterback left in the top 10 who spent just one year with the Texans. Still, the 15 games were good enough claim fifth place with 2,957 passing yards.

4. Sage Rosenfels

One of the more popular backup quarterbacks in Texans history, Rosenfels spent 2006-08 in Houston, playing in 20 games, and throwing for 3,380 yards.

3. Deshaun Watson

Basically, all a quarterback would have to do to be in the top 3 is play two and a half seasons. Watson’s 38 games with the franchise has produced 9,716 passing yards, the third-most in team history.

The first ever draft pick in team history spent 76 games with the Texans, throwing for 13,391 yards.

Schaub has his chance to shine in Houston, and he took advantage of it. In his few seasons as a franchise quarterback, Schaub etched the top spot in Texans history with 23,221 passing yards in 90 games from 2007-13.
