Apply for free: 69 Alabama, area colleges waive fees for application week

Colleges and universities in and around Alabama are waiving application fees this week as part of Alabama College Application Week 2021.

The state says it hopes to again see thousands of students across Alabama again benefit as they prepare for the next step of their education.

“Last year, more than 200 Alabama schools participated and nearly 28,000 students applied to colleges nationwide,” said Alabama College Application Campaign Coordinator Monica Mack.

This is the ninth year for the event, which was started to increase overall participation in postsecondary education by Alabama students, especially those who are first-generation or low-income students.

Students can click here to view discount codes, tips and more before applying. The College Board also has a search tool for fee waivers.

The following colleges and universities are allowing Alabama students to apply for free now through Friday:
