Chattanooga, Tn. – Oddtober – Celebrate the weird and wonderful with fact-filled animal programs, exhibits and more all month at the Tennessee Aquarium.
Nashville, Tn. – Artober – With nearly 200 events every week, the arts are available so everyone can explore Nashville’s eclecticism all month-long.
Crossville, Tn. – “Ragtime” – See the historical musical of real history with adventurous characters and music through Nov. 16.

Jackson, Tn. – The Hammond Brothers – The Hammond Brothers will perform Rockabilly favorites, free tours, barbecue and more will be featured at the International Rock-A-Billy Hall of Fame.
Chattanooga, Tn. – Hill City Block Party – Music, food, carnival games, and garden art are part of the party 5-8 p.m. at the First Calvary Baptist Church. The event is free and open to the public.
Memphis, Tn. – South MemFix – Enjoy music, histories, appearances by historically famous South Memphians, food trucks, a Kids Zone and more noon to 6 p.m. on the corner of Mississippi Boulevard and Walker Street.
Byrdstown, Tn. – Sierra Hull Annual Bluegrass Festival – A 5K run, music, cruise-in and more will be featured beginning at 9 a.m. in downtown Byrdstown.
Knoxville, Tn. – Centennial Conservation Expo – A full slate of family-friendly events and entertainment with special guests, live music, circus performers and more are scheduled 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Chilhowee Park. The event is free and open to the public.

Memphis, Tn. – “Buddy-The Buddy Holly Story” – See the musical fully loaded with classics like “That’ll Be the Day,” “Well All Right,” and “Not Fade Away” at The Orpheum Theatre. Tickets range $15-$80.

Jackson, Tn. – “Tom Sawyer” – See the American classic of Mark Twain’s story of a young boy growing up 7 p.m. at The Ned R. McWherter West TN Cultural Arts Center. Tickets are $9 in advance, $10 at the door.

White Pine, Tn. – Fall Classic Charity Horse Show – See high-stepping horsemanship 5 p.m. each night at the Walters State Great Smoky Mountains Expo Center. Tickets are $5.

Nashville, Tn. – “Brazil” – See the story of Sam Lowry, a low-level government employee who becomes an enemy of the state 7 p.m. at the Frist Center Auditorium.

Chattanooga, Tn. – Ketner’s Mill Country Fair – Family fun, living history and fine crafts and this annual fair at Ketner’s Mill.
Clarksville, Tn. – Go Commando – The half marathon & 5K will have new activities and enhanced features 7:30 a.m. beginning and ending at Liberty Park, in front of the Wilma Rudolph Event Center. The Health & Wellness Expo will take place both days and is free and open to the public.
Nashville, Tn. – “The Wicker Man” – Watch the final cut of the classic horror about a Christian cop searching for a missing 12-year-old girl midnight at the Belcourt Theatre.

Nashville, Tn. – Peter Pan – Nashville Ballet’s world premiere of the brand new production features mermaids, crocodiles and Tink, featuring the Nashville Symphony in the Tennessee Performing Arts Center’s Jackson Hall.

Nashville, Tn. – Theresa Caputo Live! – Witness the star of the hit TLC show “Long Island Medium” as she gives interactive readings to audience members throughout the show 3 p.m. at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center.
Huntingdon, Tn. – Chuck Wagon Gang – See the gospel edition of the Dixie Live Concert with the Chuck Wagon Gang 2 p.m. at the Dixie Carter Performing Arts and Academic Enrichment Center.

Chattanooga, Tn. – Bach to Bach – Featuring works by J.S. Bach and Jan Bach, new concertmaster, Holly Mulcahy, will also be featured on Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Violin and Strings 3 p.m. at the Sheraton Read House. Tickets are $25.
Knoxville, Tn. – Miss Evelyn Hazen’s Birthday Celebration – Explore a part of the Hazen family history with a selection of cakes and guided tours at the Mabry-Hazen House. Tickets are $10.
Chattanooga, Tn. – 10th annual Oktoberfest – Live German music, a Bier Garten and entertainment will be featured at Chattanooga’s oldest and largest German celebration 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at First Tennessee Pavilion.
