Last year, the Nuggets’ city edition jerseys paid homage to their classic skyline design from the ’80s but with a modern twist. If the leak for the 2019-20 edition is accurate, the new version is taking a darker turn.
Leak: Nuggets 2019-20 City Jersey (Black Rainbow)
byu/IdRatherBeLurking indenvernuggets
Reddit user IdRatherBeLurking on Monday posted a photo of what could be the leak of the new city edition jersey in r/denvernuggets. It features the pixelated rainbow design from last year over a black background. The word “Nuggets” sits below the rainbow and the player’s number is above the rainbow to the right. A yellow Nike logo sits to the left. At the bottom right is “5280,” signifying the number of feet in a mile — how high Denver sits above sea level.
As of 8 p.m. Monday night, 19 teams’ city edition jerseys were available for sale on the NBA.com store. The Nuggets were not yet included.
