Washoe County COVID-19 vaccine tracker: 42% of people fully vaccinated

Some 42% of people living in Washoe County are fully vaccinated as of May 18, according to data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC considers someone fully vaccinated two weeks after they've been given a single-dose shot (Johnson & Johnson) or a second shot (either Pfizer or Moderna).

Nevada reported 321,368 total cases of coronavirus, an increase of 0.66% from the week before.

Washoe County has the highest percentage of their population fully vaccinated in Nevada as of May 18.

The others in the top five are Carson City (41%), Mineral County (37%), Douglas County (37%) and White Pine County (36%).
