All good things must come to an end, and after several months of offering an all time high bonus, the Capital One® Spark® Miles for Business up to 200,000 mile welcome offer is ending in less than one week. If you’ve been on the fence about applying for one of the largest credit card bonuses we’ve ever seen, make sure to get your application in before January 27th.

The Capital One Spark Miles for Business credit card is currently offering a two tiered welcome bonus of up to 200,000 miles. You’ll earn the first 50,000 miles after spending $5,000 within the first 3 months, and another 150,000 miles after spending $50,000 total within the first six months. Since the Spark Miles card earns 2x miles per dollar on all purchases, this means you’ll really walk away with a whopping 300,000 miles between the bonus and the miles you earn on the spending. $50,000 is a lot of money to be spending in six months, but if your business has recurring expenses for inventory or equipment, this bonus could be within reach.

You can redeem your miles at a fixed rate of 1 cent each to erase eligible travel purchases, or you can transfer them to Capital One’s collection of 15 airline transfer partners. Miles transfer at a 2:1.5 ratio to most partners (including high value options like Avianca LifeMiles, Aeroplan and Etihad Guest), though the ratio is only 2:1 for three partners: Emirates Skywards, Singapore KrisFlyer and JetBlue TrueBlue. This means you’ll end up with between 150,000 and 200,000 airline miles depending on which partners you choose to transfer to.

If your business doesn’t travel as frequently and you’re more interested in cash back rewards to help boost your bottom line, you can earn a similar bonus on the Capital One® Spark® Cash for Business credit card: Earn up to $2,000, $500 after spending $5,000 in the first 3 months and another $1,500 after spending $50,000 in the first 6 months. Like the Spark Miles, the Spark Cash offers a fixed 2% cash back on all purchases with no bonus categories or annual limits to worry about.

No matter which Spark card you choose, you’ll have a modest $95 annual fee which is waived for the first year. Additionally, neither card charges foreign transaction fees. These cards aren’t loaded down with perks like some more expensive premium credit cards on the market, but they do offer free employee cards and a number of other expense management tools like the ability to pick your own monthly due date, assign an employee as your account manager and download your expense records to multiple formats including Quicken, Quickbooks and Excel.

This 200,000 mile/$2,000 offer is one of the best bonuses we’ve ever seen, and after it ends on January 27th, 2020, we don’t know if or when it will ever come back. If you’ve been eyeing one of the Spark cards and your business has enough expenses to meet both tiers of the bonus, there’s no good reason to wait. Apply today to lock in this amazing offer.
