30 Boozy Desserts That Will Make You Drunk In Love
Can't go wrong with drinks and dessert. We call that a 2-for-1 special.
Parties are always better with two things: great desserts and plenty of cocktails. So why not combine the two? These easy recipes spike your favorite cookies, cakes, or popsicle recipes with vodka, rum, Baileys, and more.
Before you get baking, you'll want to make sure your bar cart is properly stocked, of course. It's a hard job, but we went ahead and taste-tested all the best vodkas, rums, tequilas, and whiskeys so you can bake on with confidence. Now is the time to bust out that marshmallow-flavored vodka and Fireball whisky. One of our favorite ways to incorporate alcohol into our baked goods is whipping it into homemade whipped cream for an impromptu topping for cakes, cupcakes, even milkshakes.
My personal favorite boozy treat? Milkshakes—hands down. If you don't like the flavor of hard liquor, it doesn't get any more well-disguised than in a rich, creamy shake. Baileys, Kahlúa, rum, and vodka are all amazing mixers for milkshakes, and they're divine in our boozy s'mores milkshake, boozy shamrock shake ,and our boozy chai milkshake.
If you prefer a fruit-forward boozy treat, look no further than all of our Piña colada-inspired desserts. The pineapple and coconut combination in our favorite tropical drink just makes so much sense when you turn it into Piña colada truffles, Piña colada cheesecake bars, and Piña colada cookie cups. Add some coconut rum to really double down on the flavor and you'll be ready to party.
Baileys Truffles
Adding a little booze to our desserts is kind of our thing and we aren't sure how we didn't add creamy Baileys whisky-based liqueur to truffles sooner. Perfect for your next holiday party to bring along with moscato truffles.

Mimosa Cupcakes
Saturdays don't really begin until the mimosas have been made and now they won't end until a mimosa cupcake has been eaten for dessert. These are a great way to finish off an opened bottle of champagne (if you have any leftover that is).

Boozy S'mores Milkshake
Want a buzz but not the sting and taste of alcohol? We got you. Boozy milkshakes are about to be your new BFFs, and it doesn't get much better than this Baileys and vanilla vodka-based dream of a dessert. Want even more boozy milkshakes? Try our boozy shamrock shake or boozy chai milkshake.

Bahama Mama Cupcakes
One pineapple-and-rum-laced bite and you'll feel like you've had the beach vacation of your dreams. Have a Bahama Mama cupcake in one hand and Margarita cupcake in the other!

Rum Cake
Popular in the Caribbean, rum cake is a vanilla cake that has rum in the batter. Traditionally, dried fruit is soaked in rum for months and then added to the cake batter, but our quicker version involves a poke cake technique to really incorporate that rich rum flavor.

Piña Colada Truffles
We much prefer dessert over cocktails, so these easy coconut, pineapple, and rum-based truffles are the best of both worlds. They taste just like your favorite piña colada and are the perfect way to cap off a summer night.

Oreo Baileys Cheesecake
Baileys shouldn't be something you break out only for the holidays. We firmly believe it's one of the best liqueurs to use in dessert (just look at some of these other Baileys recipes). We even put it in oatmeal for a fun breakfast.

Rum & Coke Cakes
Cake and whipped cream is a tried-and-true combination. But a Coke-infused cake with rum-spiked whipped cream? You've got to taste it to believe. This is the gateway to all other alcoholic desserts: soft, spongy cake topped with fluffy whipped cream, drizzled with rich caramel, and drenched with a toppled nip of rum.

Moscow Mule Cupcakes
To make these cupcakes really feel like a Moscow mule in dessert form, we pour ginger beer straight into the cupcake batter—a hack that lets you skip the eggs, oil, and water that the box calls for, while giving you all of the gingery flavor you love. Don't worry, we didn't forget the vodka—it's in the frosting!

Boozy Cherry Bombs
Fun and festive! Maraschino cherries are infused with spicy fireball whisky and marshmallow vodka for a treat your guests won't forget. We love switching up the sprinkles and chocolate on these boozy bombs for any and all holiday occasions.

Champagne Cake
This light and just-sweet-enough cake is perfect for celebrating birthdays, bridal showers, or maybe just making it through the week. The good news is that you can use the cheapest bubbly possible, and it'll still be delicious. Plus, if you have any left, consider making these adorable champagne truffles.

Milk & Cookies Shots
Baileys and coffee might be our go-to delicious combination, but Baileys in a cookie shot glass? Sign us up. We love the ease of using store-bought cookie dough, but if you've got the time, making chocolate chip cookies from scratch is always better.

Pink Champagne Truffles
Just like our champagne cupcakes, these pretty truffles start with the coolest cake mix hack. You whisk champagne into the batter. Don't worry, not all the booze bakes off—there's also a little bubbly in the frosting.

Red Wine Milkshakes
How much red wine you choose to pour in the blender is entirely up to you—we usually just eyeball it. A fruit-forward red wine like Zinfandel is best for vanilla ice cream, but feel free to experiment with semi-sweet sparkling red wines too, like Lambrusco or Brachetto D'acqui.

Prosecco Pops
After trying Bloody Mary pops, we are convinced that popsicles are one of the most fun ways to get our drink on. Add your favorite fruits and citrus juice (we love grapefruit juice and lemonade for these).

Piña Colada Cookie Cups
The filling tastes like a cross between a slice of cheesecake and a piña colada. If you're bringing these to a party with little ones, feel free to skip the booze; they'll taste just as great.

Kahlúa Cupcakes
Sure, Kahlúa is great in coffee, but it's even better in cupcakes. We added both coffee and Kahlúa to a boxed cake mix for a true triple threat. Top them off with a chocolate-covered espresso bean.

Boozy Dole Whip Pops
Dole Whip is one of our favorite creamy, refreshing ways to get through the summer heat. But turning it into both a boozy and easy handheld treat? We had to go there.

Margarita Cupcakes
This bright, zesty tequila-laced frosting tastes just like your favorite margarita. Add a sprinkle of coarse sea salt and a cut straw (obviously) for the cutest touch.
Pro tip: When it comes to frosting cupcakes, most of the time we don’t fuss with piping tips. We simply put the frosting in a resealable plastic bag and snip off a big corner so we have a wide opening that’s super easy to maneuver.

Mimosa Floats
Bubbly champagne and light, fruity sherbet is a match made in heaven. A white chocolate, sprinkle-covered rim will make you feel all kinds of deluxe. Feel free to use your favorite Champagne or Prosecco for this festive dessert.
