Navajo County sees deputy-involed shooting

A deputy-involved shooting is under investigation in northeastern Arizona. Navajo County deputies responded to a call for a disorderly person Saturday afternoon in the town of Lakeside, just southeast of Show Low. When they arrived, they say the suspect opened fire at a deputy, hitting a vehicle. Here's what authorities say happened next.

3 dead in northern Arizona rollover crash

Three people, including an infant, are dead following a crash along a stretch of Interstate 40 in northern Arizona, according to DPS officials. The crash reportedly happened at around 7:34 a.m. on April 3.

Dive teams recover man's body near Winslow

The Navajo County Sheriff's Office says deputies got a call about two people in the water near the Chevlon Canyon Bridge outside of Winslow. When deputies arrived at the scene, they found 36-year-old Alvina Mann clinging to rocks. Mann was taken to a hospital with serious injuries. Crews continued searching for 37-year-old Sherwin Yazzie, but sadly he did not survive. Yazzie's body was found Monday morning.

Officer accused of deadly on-duty hit-and-run crash

A woman was struck and killed by a hit-and-run driver, now identified as an on-duty police officer, in Hondah on the Fort Apache Indian Reservation on Thanksgiving. The officer, Josh Anderson, has resigned.
