Birmingham High School Football Scores: Playoffs, Round 2

BIRMINGHAM, AL — Those that win, survice to see another game. That is the mindset for playoff football. Round 2 of the AHSAA playoffs kicks off Friday night, and several Birmingham metro teams are still alive in the hunt for a state championship.
In 7A, Hoover and Thompson reached the second round, with Hoover facing James Clemens and Thompson facing Florence. In 6A, Pinson Valley and Clay-Chalkville remain in the hunt, while Ramsay, Center Point, Briarwood, Pleasant Grove and Gardendale stayed alive in the 5A title race.
