NORTHRIDGE, CA — Most of the time Domino’s delivers pizza, but for a Northridge couple, it delivered quite a bit more.

Dani Haberman and C.J. Colace were planning to get married this spring, but like so many other couples, they had to postpone due to the coronavirus pandemic. Not long after, they both lost their jobs.

In the midst of stress and uncertainty, Haberman responded to an email from Domino’s offering pizza-themed wedding registries with promotional deals for couples who had to postpone their weddings. The ad promised that “pizza tastes better than new bath towels.”

The couple expected to get a bit of free pizza, but they were shocked to find that the company had paid for their entire registry, which totals more than $4000. Each day, new boxes of gifts, including furniture, kitchenware, gift cards, and electronics, began arriving at their door.

It is unknown why Domino’s chose this particular couple, or if they have been similarly generous to other couples.

"They didn't have to do that," Haberman told ABC News. "They're a big company, they didn't ask us to talk to anybody, they didn't ask us to post on social media, they just did it."

The couple plans to get married October 2021.
