I-94 closed from Bismarck to Fargo; No travel advised extended to northeastern North Dakota

The North Dakota Department of Transportation along with the North Dakota Highway Patrol have closed I-94 westbound and eastbound lanes from Bismarck to Fargo due to strong winds causing blowing and drifting snow, areas of zero visibility and life-threatening driving conditions.

Drivers are not allowed to travel on a closed road due to life-threatening conditions. The road may be impassible or blocked.

The no travel advised has been extended to northeastern North Dakota. Cities include Hillsboro, Grand Forks, Pembina, Drayton, Rugby, Devils Lake, Langdon, Rolla and surrounding areas.

ND Hwy 13 remains closed from I-29 to Wahpeton and I-29 remains closed northbound and southbound lanes from Grand Forks to the South Dakota border.

A no travel advised remains in effect for southeastern and south central North Dakota. Cities include Casselton, Fargo, Wahpeton, Lisbon, Jamestown, Valley City, Ashley, Ellendale, Steele, Linton, Napoleon and surrounding areas.
