Indiana COVID-19: 1,567,159 Indiana residents now fully vaccinated, 7 new deaths reported

Indiana health officials have administered more than 3.7 million doses of vaccine and 1,567,159 people have been fully vaccinated.

The state on Sunday recorded 1,041 new coronavirus cases and seven new deaths. 

Indiana has now recorded a total of 708,067 positive tests and 12,815 deaths since the start of the pandemic, according to the Indiana State Department of Health.

A total of 9,445,712 people have been tested for the virus in Indiana.

Hoosiers age 16 and older are now eligible to receive a COVID-19 vaccine. To schedule an appointment and to learn more about vaccination sites, visit https://ourshot.in.gov or call 211.

Here are some other statistics of note:

  • State positivity rate (seven-day rate as of April 11) for all tests performed: 5.2%.
  • How many people in Indiana hospitals with COVID-19: 829.
  • How many fully vaccinated Hoosiers: 1,567,159. Of those, 14,563 were reported in past 24 hours.
  • How many first of two doses reported administered in past 24 hours: 13,627.
  • How many second of two doses reported administered in past 24 hours: 14,528.
  • How many single dose vaccines reported given in past 24 hours: 39.
  • New cases reported for Marion and surrounding counties: Marion (137), Hamilton (49), Johnson (19), Hendricks (17), Hancock (15), Boone (11), Shelby (6), Morgan (5).
  • Fully vaccinated individuals: Marion County – 199,945; Hamilton -97,451; Hendricks – 51,414; Johnson – 36,608; Hancock – 23,515; Boone – 20,467; Morgan – 15,887; Shelby – 11,860.
