ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, IL — The following information comes from the Arlington Heights Police Department and court records as a record of police activity, including incidents reported by the public and those arrested by police. Criminal charges represent accusations by the state and are often dropped or reduced. Updated information may be available from the Cook County Clerk of the Circuit Court.

ARRESTS

Victor M. Tavera, 48, of the 100 block of W Pickwick Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of driving under the influence of alcohol, operating an uninsured vehicle, and was arrested at 2:37 a.m. June 27 at Arlington Heights and Golf roads. He was given a court date of July 22.

RETAIL THEFT

Danielle King, 28, of the 5000 block of Court G, Hanover Park, and Lynette M. Vega, 22, of the 2300 block of N Lockwood Avenue, Chicago, are accused of retail theft and were arrested at 7:35 p.m. June 28 at Golf and Wilke. They were both given court dates of July 31.

AGGRAVATED IDENTITY THEFT

Gabriela Tovar, 25, of the 1700 block of N Shannon Lane, Palatine, is accused of aggravated identity theft and was arrested 6 a.m. June 29 in the 200 block of E. Sigwalt. She was given a court date of July 31.

AGGRAVATED KIDNAPPING

Chadane Gordon, 25, of the 600 block of W Central Road, Arlington Heights, is accused of aggravated kidnapping, aggravated criminal sexual abuse/bodily harm, aggravated battery/great bodily harm, aggravated battery in a public space, aggravated criminal sexual assault/bodily harm, and was arrested at 6:24 p.m July 1. THEFT

  • A resident in the 800 block of N Chestnut Avenue reported at 9:52 p.m. June 29 someone took the front license plate from the resident's vehicle while the vehicle was parked in the driveway.
  • A resident in the 2000 block of S Goebbert Road called police at 6:10 p.m. June 26 to report someone took a package belonging to the resident from the communal mail area at the apartment complex. The value of the package's contents is approximately $300.
  • A resident in the 800 block of N Ridge Avenue reported at 4:15 p.m. June 29 that someone took a package belonging to the resident from the front porch of the residence. The value of the package's contents is approximately $55.

BURGLARY TO MOTOR VEHICLE

A person called police at 1:35 p.m. June 26 to report someone had entered their unlocked car while it was parked overnight in the Wingate Inn's parking lot at 2112 S Arlington Heights Road.
