17 New Coronavirus Cases Reported In Framingham

With new data on Wednesday, 41 new coronavirus cases have been detected in Framingham since Friday.

FRAMINGHAM, MA — Framingham reported a modest increase in coronavirus cases on Wednesday with 17 new cases detected in the city since Monday, and no new coronavirus deaths.

Adding the figures reported Wednesday, Framingham has tallied about 195 cases since the beginning of September — that's about the same number of cases reported in all of August, when the city saw about 197 new cases.

Framingham remains a high-risk community with an average of 12.5 new cases per day over the last two weeks, according to state data released Wednesday evening.

City officials are also reminding residents about an upcoming flu clinic at Keefe Tech this weekend. Officials are also reminding anyone who gets tested that the health department will contact them within 24 hours — but if not, they should call 508-532-5470 to begin contact tracing efforts.
