KALAMAZOO COUNTY, MI – Police released the name of a man killed in a homicide.
Kalamazoo Township resident, Collin Mitchell, 23, was killed in shooting at 12:20 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 21 at LakeView Apartments in the 1900 block of Elkerton Avenue, Township of Kalamazoo Police Department said in a news release.

Mitchell’s death is a homicide, Lt. Darien Smith said.

Mitchell is the 20th person to die from homicide in Kalamazoo County in 2021.
