SPRINGDALE -- Police have identified the man shot and killed Thursday on Newell Drive as Joseph Soto.
Soto, 23, was found lying in a driveway on Newell Drive near Huntsville Avenue when officers responded to a report of shots fired at 2:48 a.m. Thursday.
The officers performed CPR on Soto but he died at the scene. His body was was taken by the Washington County Coroner's Office and was to be sent to the State Crime Lab in Little Rock for an autopsy.
Police said initial information indicates the shooting wasn't a random act of violence and the investigation is continuing.
