SANTA CRUZ COUNTY, CA — A Felton man was shamed by a San Lorenzo Valley Facebook group after he posted Friday in search of a subletter who could watch his home and care for his cat and 75-gallon aquarium for three weeks — all for the low price of $1,750, SFGATE reported.

The man also sought a negotiable security deposit for the stay in his one-bedroom, one-bathroom, 1,000-square-foot home, according to SFGATE.

"The original post has since been removed from the Facebook group, but remains active on the man's personal Facebook account — where some people continue to berate him," SFGATE reporter Madeline Wells wrote.
