On Saturday, April 10, the trusty team of volunteers was out in force making sure their used beauties were going to loving homes.
“It wasn't about making money for us. While we were getting rid of old stock it was important we made sure they were in safe hands,” Toy Library president Tammie Wakefield said.
“We had a range of toys we couldn't lend out anymore and needed to make way for getting new toys in the future, so we thought this was a good opportunity to do that.
“We even had a few new members sign up on the day which was lovely.”
Ms Wakefield said the money raised from selling the used toys would go towards getting new ones.
“We always want to have the best quality toys we can find so this money will help us continue to do that,” she said.
“It's also a good chance to let the community know we're still here and open for business.”
Ms Wakefield said the team was always looking for new members so "don't be shy".
“We have our AGM coming up in May so we invite anyone interested to come along and join us,” she said.
“You don't have to be someone with children to be a part of the Toy Library. You could be someone who is retired or just someone looking to lend a helping hand in the community.
“It's all voluntary work and the more people we have, the more chances we have of getting grants to keep the library going.”
The Echuca-Moama Toy Library AGM will be held on Friday, May 14 from 7pm at the library building.
You can find the team at 34-36 Heygarth St.
