Wisconsin Reaches Second-Highest Coronavirus Total To Date

WISCONSIN—Wisconsin's daily tally for coronavirus cases on Thursday was 2,392 or 18% of tests came back positive positive, according to the state Department of Health and Human Services. It is the second-highest daily total to date.

Wisconsin has 108,324 cases for the state. According to the website, 90,726 people have recovered. As of Thursday, there have been 1,265 deaths.

Gov. Tony Evers declared a public health emergency on Tuesday. He also announced he is extending a statewide mask mandate until Nov. 21. The order, which was in effect since August, was set to expire Monday.

Wisconsin's positive case percentage has climbed steadily ever since early June — about three weeks after the Wisconsin Supreme Court overturned Evers' Safer At Home order, which restricted public movement and ordered businesses closed.
