CLEVELAND, Ohio — Two males seen in surveillance photos released Friday are wanted in a hit-and-run crash that injured a 9-year-old girl, police said.
The crash happened about 3:30 p.m. Thursday on West 73rd Street and Brinsmade Avenue.
The girl is a third-grade student at Waverly Elementary School. She suffered serious injuries, including a broken leg, police said.
The girl got off her school bus at the intersection. The SUV struck her as she crossed the street, police said.
The bus was stopped with its stop-sign arm out and lights flashing. The SUV sped around the bus, hit the girl and drove away.
No arrests have been made in the case. Cleveland police found the SUV, a Kia Soul, on West 91st Street near Maywood Avenue. Someone picked up the two pictured in the photo shortly after the crash from a home on West 95th Street and Maywood, police said.
