Corpus Christi Public Libraries to reopen with limited access on May 11

The City of Corpus Christi will be reopening its public libraries with limited access on May 11.

The city announced in a news release Saturday all library locations will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.

The news release states the following services will be offered at Corpus Christi public libraries:

• Computer/Internet access: Sessions will be limited to 1½ hours per day, reservation required.

• Copy Machine use: 30 minutes, reservation required.

• Access to Public Review documents: reservation required.

Corpus Christi's La Retama Central Library on Comanche Street.

The release states services will require a reservation. Individuals will be required to wear a face mask and practice social distancing to be allowed access into the library.

Curbside services for the library will continue between the hours of 2 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.

For information about curbside service or to make a reservation for the above services, call the city's automated phone system at 361-826-7055, press “7” to select your library location, after selecting your library location press “4” to speak to a circulation staff member Monday through Friday between 10 a.m. to 5:45 p.m.

Book drop is open for returns. The release states any items checked out prior to Friday, March 20, must be returned by Friday, May 29.
