West Hollywood Co-Hosts 'The Mueller Report: A Live Reading'

Community members are invited to read, to join the audience, or to tune-in to the broadcast of "The Mueller Report: A Live Reading."

The City of West Hollywood joins Hollywood NOW and community partners to co-host a two-part event: The Mueller Report: A Live Reading. Community members are invited to read, to join the audience, or to tune-in to the broadcast.

The event will take place over two days on Saturday, August 10, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday, August 11, 2019 from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the City of West Hollywood’s Council Chambers/Public Meeting Room at West Hollywood Library, located at 625 N. The reading will be live-streamed on the City’s WeHoTV Channel, which is available on YouTube at www.youtube.com/wehotvand is available to Spectrum (formerly Time Warner Cable) customers within the City of West Hollywood on channel 10. AT&T U-verse customers across Southern California can access WeHoTV on channel 99.

The Mueller Report, officially titled Report on the Investigation into Russian Interference in the 2016 Presidential Election, is the official report documenting the findings and conclusions of Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into Russian efforts to interfere in the 2016 United States presidential election, allegations of conspiracy or coordination between Donald Trump’s presidential campaign and Russia, and allegations of obstruction of justice.

“When President Trump took office, the City of West Hollywood took bold action to reaffirm its commitment to its core values and to work tirelessly to defend the fundamental rights of community members,” said West Hollywood Mayor Pro Tempore Lindsey P. Horvath. “Part of defending our rights is to educate ourselves when our democratic institutions are undermined. That’s why it’s so important that each of us gets involved in learning about the findings of The Mueller Report.”

“The Mueller Report outlines the ways in which a foreign government was able to interfere in our elections process,” said Councilmember John Heilman. “The report also documents the efforts of people, including the president, to obstruct and interfere with the investigation. The Mueller Report is of vital importance to our country and to our democracy.”
