CLEVELAND — Temperatures could drop 40 degrees between Friday and Saturday night.

Current forecasts show an unseasonably warm Friday hitting nearly 80 degrees during the day. By Saturday night, temperatures in Northeast Ohio could be in the mid-30s, the National Weather Service predicted.

One of the factors contributing to plunging temperatures is inbound showers. Precipitation is expected to begin Friday evening and continue overnight into Saturday morning.
