A doomsday prepper has completed his underground skyscraper offering would-be buyers the chance to escape the end of the world in luxury.

Larry Hall, 64, is selling homes so the wealthy can comfortably ride out the apocalypse if and when it arrives.

The former government contractor has successfully converting an old missile silos into an incredible 'Survival Condo' in central Kansas, US.

He begun work on the project in 2010 at a cost of nearly $20million after coming up with the idea weeks after the 9/11 terror attacks.

But he says there has been a surge of interest since the pandemic struck - and he has already begun work on more across America and Asia.

But anxious Brits don't have to miss out - there are plans for mega-bunkers in Europe, too.

The 200ft deep underground metropolis is a 15-story safety cave and can shelter 75 people for at least five years.

Mr Hall says the impressive property is disaster-ready and can withstand a 20 kiloton nuclear warhead detonating within half a mile

"The goal is to protect residents from a whole wide range of potentially world-ending threats from a nuclear war, to a pandemic, meteor strike, and civil unrest," he explained to The Sun.

"These are luxury, nuclear-hardened bunkers that are engineered to protect any resident both physically and mentally too."

There's plenty of food on offer too - but don't worry, you can stock up in their super huge fridges.

"If residents want to bring their own food they can too - there are walk-in freezers so, for instance, if we're going to be locked down for seven years, then can bring with them seven turkeys to save for Thanksgiving."

The 'Survival Condo' has plenty to keep kids occupied (

The shelter has an indoor dog park for those who bring their pets.

Not only that, there's a swimming pool with a water slide - and a classroom when the kids need to get to some study.

The shelter also has a medical facility, rock climbing wall, table football and a games room.

Mr Hall said the bunker is "nuclear hardened" with 10ft thick walls made from epoxy hardened concrete, and was built in 1960 to house and protect Atlas nuclear missiles.

While it was designed to withstand a nuclear blast, Mr Hall said his clients' main concerns are man-made or natural disasters or the breakdown of society and total civil unrest.

A company statement says: "In the event of a major disaster, economic collapse or whatever the future may hold, there is one common concern that Larry and his tenants share.

"That is the ability to protect themselves and their families when the government is no longer able to do so."

Rooms range from single-room suits to multi-floor penthouses.

It also has wind turbine that can power the whole facility, two diesel generators and full-proof battery backup system.

In its press release in 2017, the company included a quote that it said was from one of the flat owners.

The owner said: "The same quality of condo in New York would have cost me the same, if not more per square foot and you get peace of mind with this."
