Naya Rivera’s moving ‘If I Die Young’ tribute for Cory Monteith trends as fans remember the actress – watch

A five-day search operation at Lake Piru came to a sad end after authorities found the body of missing Hollywood actress Naya Rivera.
The news broke early this morning when the Ventura County Sheriff Bill Ayub hosted a news conference on the shore of the lake and confirmed, "We are confident the body we found is that of Naya Rivera."
According to the investigating authorities, the actress drowned during a swimming trip with her 4-year-old son, Josey.In a statement, the Sheriff stated that the actress is believed to have saved her son before she drowned.
"She must have mustered enough energy to get her son back on the boat, but not enough to save herself," Sheriff Bill was quoted saying in his statement.
Following the news break, tributes have been pouring in from all quarters. Naya’s former ‘Glee’ co-stars, along with her many film co actors and even singers took to social media to pay their tribute and offer their heartfelt condolences to the grieving family. Hollywood celebrities including Chris Colfer, Jane Lynch and Alex Newell, Lea Michelle, Viola Davis, Adam Lambert, Bebe Rexha, NeYo and many others shared their heartfelt messages remembering the actress for her stellar film and music performances.
As tributes poured in from all quarters, fans of the actress have also been taking to social media to share some of her best song covers. One of the many that has struck a chord with fans is her performance to the song ‘If I Die Young’by The Band Perry. The actress crooned the emotional track in the fifth season of her hit musical show where she played the character, Santana Lopez.

Interestingly, Naya sang this song while paying tribute to late co-star Cory Monteith, who passed away due to a toxic mix of alcohol and heroin. The actress' body was recovered on Monday, that also marked the seventh death aniversary of Monteith.
