Front will bring cooler temperatures to South Texas this week

A cool front is expected to bring about a 20-degree drop in temperatures in the Corpus Christi area on Tuesday, said Juan Pena, a meteorologist at the National Weather Service in Corpus Christi Meteorologist Juan Pena said.
Though South Texas is not expected to see as much winter weather as some areas of north Texas, the area will get a break from hot temperatures.
The front is expected to pass by the Corpus Christi area by sunrise Tuesday, Pena said. Some rain is possible, but will not be widespread.
Temperatures are expected to stay in the low to mid 70s through Wednesday. On Thursday, temperatures are expected to be in the mid to upper 70s, Pena said.
Low temperatures are expected to be in the mid 50s to upper 60s through Thursday.
