Grab a coat before leaving the house this Valentine's Day, it's a cold one.

Temperatures in the teens this morning will combine with northwest winds of 10 to 15 mph to produce cold wind chills, the National Weather Service said.

"Wind chill readings in the 5 above to 5 below zero range will be possible through mid-morning. Be prepared for the cold temperatures if you are headed outside this morning and dress appropriately," the weather service said.

It's one of the coldest days Greater Cincinnati has seen this year.

A flood warning is still in place for the Ohio River until late Monday night.

At 4 a.m. the river was at 52.9 feet. Flood stage is 52 feet.

"The river will continue rising to near 54.6 feet by Saturday evening. The river will fall below flood stage Monday before midnight," forecasters said.

At stages near 55.0 feet, the National Weather Service said:

  • Backwater flooding continues to affect much of Greater Cincinnati.
  • Low-lying roads near the river continue to flood, with much of Anderson Township, the East End and California affected.
  • Flooding begins to affect sections of Route 52 in southeast Hamilton and Clermont Counties.
  • Low-lying roads in Bromley and Ludlow also flood.

Riverview East Academy in Sedamsville on Cincinnati’s west side is closed Friday due to flooding, according to Enquirer media partner Fox19.
