NEW TOWN, N.D. - A Montana man accused of having sex with a minor while he worked as a counselor in Billings was arrested Friday in New Town.
Brad Douglas Johnson, 36, of Laurel, Mont., was wanted on two counts of felony sexual intercourse without consent, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service. The allegations occurred while Johnson worked as a counselor at the Ted Lechner Regional Youth Services Center in Billings in 2013, the Marshals Service said.
Johnson previously worked as a police officer in Rose Hill, Kan., the release said.
Police in Billings contacted the Marshals Service for help locating Johnson after a warrant was issued for his arrest Thursday in Yellowstone County District Court in Billings. Deputy U.S. marshals in Billings learned Johnson worked in the oilfield near New Town and contacted the U.S. Marshals Service's High Plains Fugitive Task Force in North Dakota.
A deputy U.S. marshal and a Mountrail County deputy sheriff located Johnson and arrested him at 2:45 p.m. Friday in New Town.

Johnson was transported to the Mountrail County Jail in Stanley to await extradition to Montana. He was being held on $50,000 bond.
