MCSO: Woman shot at while driving on I-43 in Marquette Interchange
MILWAUKEE (CBS 58) -- All lanes of I-43 in the Marquette Interchange are back open after a shots fired incident Friday morning, July 23.

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office reported the closure around 9:40 a.m., was due to an "alleged criminal act."
MCSO is investigating an alleged criminal act occurring on I-43 between the Marquette Interchange and W. National Ave. earlier this morning. Please be aware of the following closures, which will take effect imminently to facilitate MCSO’s investigation.

The sheriff's office said an underlying incident took place at approximately 6:40 a.m., when a driver reported moving out of the way of a speeding red vehicle on southbound I-43 near Wisconsin Avenue.
The driver reported at the same time, a gray Chrysler -- driven by a black male between the ages of 20 and 30, pulled alongside her. Officials say the driver reported that, between that location and W. National Ave., the driver of the gray Chrysler fired three shots at her vehicle.
According to the MCSO, from 9:45 a.m. to 11:20 a.m., deputies closed all lanes of I-43 southbound from the Marquette Interchange
through W. National Ave., as well as southbound-to-westbound access to I-94 and southbound-to eastbound access to I-794 in the Marquette Interchange.
Three bullet casings scene were recovered from the area.
The victim did not report injuries or vehicular damage.
Traffic reopened around 11:20 a.m.
The investigation into this incident remains active.
