Fully online RN-to-BSN

Available to students anywhere in the world, UIC Nursing's fully online RN-to-BSN program is ranked #4 in the nation by U.S. News & World Report among all online bachelor's degree programs in any discipline. The same ranking showed that UIC scored the highest of all listed schools for student engagement.

An accelerated MS to let non-nurses enter the profession

For people who have a bachelor's degree in a field other than nursing, UIC Nursing offers a graduate-entry master's degree that makes you eligible to sit for the RN licensing exam (the NCLEX) upon program completion.

An inclusive environment

UIC is widely recognized for its diversity across many measures, including race/ethnicity, age, international citizenship and first-generation college students. In 2016, UIC was recognized for the third time on the Campus Pride Index as one of the 30 most LGBTQ-inclusive colleges/universities in the U.S.

Stellar faculty

UIC Nursing faculty win honors for teaching, research and mentoring at every opportunity. Students often cite the expertise and approachability of faculty as their favorite aspect of the programs. UIC Nursing counts among its faculty:

From rural health to global health

In 2016, UIC Nursing announced the addition of new electives in rural nursing as part of our commitment to educating highly skilled nurses for the vast rural population feeding our nation. At the same time, 2016 marked UIC Nursing's 30th year as a World Health Organization Collaborating Centre, the world's first focused on nursing/midwifery.

Six campuses around Illinois

UIC Nursing is based in one of the world's great cities, centrally located on major transit lines so that it is convenient to all the dining, sporting events, museums, theater, and lakefront activities that make Chicago famous. But with additional campuses in five other large Illinois cities, UIC Nursing is educating healthcare professionals for its home state and also Iowa, Wisconsin and Indiana.
