Hello again from Sanford Stadium. Long time since a football game here.

Georgia is back playing for the first time in two weeks after the Missouri game was postponed last week due to COVID-19 issues with the Tigers.

This is the first home game in six weeks for Georgia.

“It is exciting to go back into our home stadium and prove people wrong,” center Trey Hill said.

He didn’t elaborate on what he meant but both the offense—particularly the passing game—and the defense have something to prove against Mississippi State after the loss to Florida.

“I think everybody just wants to get back out there and show that we are one of the top teams in the country and show that we can play well,” punter Jake Camarda said.

Mississippi State is down to 49 scholarship players today, according to 247Sports. A Mississippi State spokesperson here said coach Mike Leach will address that after the game.

Georgia is favored by 25, according to BetMGM,com.

There again will be limited attendance tonight, but the fan cutouts are here for the first time. Georgia will have about 600 in display tonight.

5:50 p.m.: Georgia is indeed wearing the black jerseys tonight as was expected since earlier this week.

Check back here for updates all night.
