Skaneateles schools names interim superintendent as search for new leader continues

SKANEATELES, NY - Jeffrey K. Bryant will start his new job as interim superintendent for the Skaneateles school district starting Jan. 21.

Bryant is filling in as Skaneateles Superintendent Lynda Quick has resigned from her role effective Jan. 19. She is taking a job as deputy superintendent in the Rochester city school district.

Bryant, who retired as superintendent of Camden Central School District in 2014, has been an interim superintendent since then in the Central Square, Remsen, Altmar-Parish-Williamstown and Camden school districts. he also teaches graduate classes for at SUNY Cortland in administration. He has 33 years of experience in education.

Quick became Skaneateles superintendent in September 2018.

Bryant will be paid a per diem rate of $900 per day, according to the Skaneateles school board minutes.

The school board is continuing its search for a new superintendent.
