Linksys, the connected home division within the newly merged Belkin International and Foxconn Interconnect Technology (FIT) entity, today announced the Middle East launch of the Linksys MAX-STREAM™ AC1750 WiFi router to deliver seamless, same-speed connectivity across multiple devices at home.

“Everyone residing in the UAE and wider region has a multitude of connected devices used throughout the home, all running simultaneously – the new Linksys MAX-STREAM™ AC1750 WiFi router ensures that all users stay connected at similar speeds across the residence,” Amanullah Khan, Managing Director, Belkin, Middle East, Turkey & Africa. “We’re putting an end to any potential arguments about which family member is using all the bandwidth through this new solution, which delivers faster WiFi to more than 10 devices at the same time.”

The UAE is one of the most highly-connected societies, with Global media Insight recently reporting that 93% of residents connect to the Internet daily, and spend up to eight hours per day online (reference).  This ubiquitous connectivity is driving demand for home WiFi solutions that enable faster and more reliable access for multiple devices, such as the Linksys MAX-STREAM™ AC1750 WiFi router.

The MU-MIMO (Multi-User, Multiple-Input, Multiple-Output) technology embedded in the new Linksys wireless router sends WiFi to up to a dozen devices at the same time and same speed. Users can interact on social media, play, stream, and work all at once around the home, without experiencing lag or buffering--at up to 2x the speed of a non-MU-MIMO router.

Two dedicated WiFi bands that deliver combined speeds of up to 1.7 Gbps divide the user demand within the new Linksys MAX-STREAM™ AC1750 WiFi router, with high-bandwidth activities like 4K video streaming connected to the high-speed 5 GHz band, and basic activities like email running on the 2.4 GHz band.  A powerful dual-core processor powers the router to handle multiple simultaneous data streams, resulting in faster speeds and an overall enhanced performance.

“Consumer expectations of a fully connected home with 4K TVs, HD streaming media players, laptops and tablets, game consoles, and multiple mobile phones demand a robust and innovative solution – the Linksys MAX-STREAM™ AC1750 WiFi router delivers on those expectations,” concluded Khan.

At Belkin International, we create products that help people realize the power of technology and make people’s lives better, easier and more fulfilling. This has been Belkin’s mission since our inception in 1983.

Belkin was founded by CEO, Chet Pipkin, in his parent’s garage. Even back then, Chet’s passion was driven by solving customer’s needs. He manufactured computer cable assemblies in the evenings and on weekends, and sold them to local computer manufacturers and dealers in response to the burgeoning personal computer market in the 1980’s. Since then, we’ve kept our southern California origins and are based in Playa Vista, right in the heart of the Los Angeles tech center.
