“This is a huge honour for me, and I hope readers will enjoy it,” said Armstrong, who lives in Sudbury.

Wherever She Goes begins with Aubrey Finch, who has made mistakes in her life, and her three-year-old daughter Charlotte, meeting a little boy and his mother on a playground.

Days later, Aubrey witnesses the child’s apparent abduction. Police are unable to find any parents with a missing child as no report has been made, but Aubrey knows what she saw.

When the police refuse to believe her, she realizes that rescuing the boy is up to her alone, even if it means her own dark past might come to light.

Armstrong is the author of the Rockton series, standalone thrillers beginning with Wherever She Goes, and the Royal Guide to Monster Slaying, a middle-grade fantasy series.

Past works include the Otherworld urban fantasy series, the Cainsville gothic mystery series, the Nadia Stafford thriller trilogy, the Darkest Powers and Darkness Rising teen paranormal series, and the Age of Legends teen fantasy series.

Two of her novels have been New York Times bestsellers.

“Her books have a strong following and are read worldwide,” said Gary Jermy, co-ordinator of outreach and community impact with the Brant library.

Those who sign up to read Wherever She Goes at any Brant library branch will be entered into a draw that includes a grand prize of an Winnovo tablet with a keyboard and case and secondary prizes of $50 Ultimate Dining gift cards and signed copies of the book.

Armstrong will be in attendance for the grand prize draw at the One Book One Brant meet-the-author event on March 8 at 1:30 p.m. at the Brant Sports Complex, 944 Powerline Rd. in Paris. The event is free to attend.

More information can be found at brantlibrary.ca or by visiting one of the five branches located in Burford, Glen Morris, Paris, Scotland and St. George.
