Central New York State students commended recently by their colleges

Area students who recently received recognition from their colleges include:

SUNY Delhi announces its Dean's List for the spring 2020 semester, a recognition of academic achievement for students who enrolled in six or more credits and earned a 3.5 or higher grade-point average for the semester.

Local students who earned a spot on the list include Nicole R. Dauchy of Leonardsville, Damian Desordi of Morrisville, Hope Doney of Canastota, Christine Nasci of Chittenango, Shioban Reilley of Cazenovia and Katie L. Swanson of Canastota.

More than 500 students graduated from SUNY Delhi this spring. Commencement was held virtually on June 27, where certificates, associate’s, bachelor's and master's degrees were conferred upon the Classes of summer 2019, fall 2019, and spring 2020.

Local students include Linda Chapman-Pierce of Morrisville, Damian Desordi of Morrisville, Connor Riedl of Cazenovia, Alyzia Hill of Chittenango, Christine Nasci of Chittenango, Joseua Figueroa of Morrisville, Keara Lawson of Cazenovia, Judson Spaulding of Cazenovia and Peyton Strong of Oneida.

Wilkes University is welcoming more than 500 students to campus as members of its new first-year class. The fall 2020 semester began Aug. 24 following the University's Welcome Weekend, which provides first-year students with an introduction to life at Wilkes. They included Samantha Lawler of New Woodstock and Joshua Mattia of Chittenango.

Jessica Higgins of Oneida graduated May 31 from York College of Pennsylvania with a Master of Science in Public Finance and Management.

Lauren Burbidge, of Cazenovia has been named to the spring 2020 Dean's List at Roger Williams University, in Bristol, Rhode Island. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a grade point average of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.

Le Moyne College has named local students to its spring 2020 Dean's List. To make the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above. They included Jennifer Fiore from Canastota, Delaney Picciano from Canastota, Brandon Julian from Chittenango, Nathan Lombardi from Oneida, Elizabeth Kaido from Oneida, Mason Hausler from Kirkville and Allison Choi from Canastota.

Also making the Dean’s List were Morgan Smith from Cazenovia, Angela Combs from Cazenovia, Jason Sargent from Canastota, Adrianna Ladd from De Ruyter, Elizabeth Collins from Munnsville, Kaileigh Becker from Canastota, Cassidy Picciano from Canastota, Jared Cucinotta from Cazenovia, Hannah Loveland from Chittenango, Heather Ludlow from Canastota, Sydney Coleman from Canastota, Sarah Jones from Bridgeport and Jacob Maser from Chittenango.

Dean’s List also included Austin Williams from Oneida, Christiana Rinaldo from Canastota, Salvatore Cesario from Canastota, Jack Ballard from Hubbardsville, Emily Vanevery from Canastota, Mathew Karbowniczak from Kirkville, Samuel Digeorge from Canastota, Kelsey Crysler from Oneida and Kevin Ammann from Cazenovia.

They were joined on the Dean’s List by Nicholas Marchitelli from Chittenango, Shannon Letourneau from Chittenango, McKinley Dennison from Cazenovia, Caden Ackerman from Cazenovia, Jacob Marconi from Erieville, Nicole Myers from Chittenango and Emily Pelcher from De Ruyter.

Several local students have graduated from Le Moyne College and have been named to the spring 2020 Dean's List. To make the list, students must achieve a GPA of 3.5 or above. More than 700 members of the class of 2020 were eligible to graduate from Le Moyne.

They included Rachel Ablan of Kirkville, Mya Walters of Cazenovia, Rochella Garofalo of Kirkville, Rachel McChain of Chittenango, Cassidy Cavanagh of Oneida, Mitchel Meigs of Cazenovia, Emma Murphy of Cazenovia, Micala Zelinsky of New Woodstock, Kayla Bain of Chittenango, Kamryn Bates of Chittenango, Jacob Stowell of Cazenovia, Erich Nouza of Oneida and Renee Vedder of Oneida.

Purchase College announced that more than 1,500 students were named to the Dean's List for the spring semester. Students who have earned this academic honor have maintained a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and taken a minimum of 12 credits. For BA and BS programs, a semester GPA of 3.50 is required. For BFA and MusB programs, a semester GPA of 3.75 is required.

They included Siobhan Kiernan of Cazenovia and Madelynne Torosian of Chittenango.

More than 1,200 students graduated with bachelor's degrees, master's degrees and certificates of advanced study from SUNY Oneonta. They included Mckenna Jones of Oneida, Robert Burbank of Canastota and Dustin Bartlett of Munnsville.
