Due to social distancing measures to help contain the spread of coronavirus, some musicians are livestreaming their concerts on Facebook and other outlets. Others are performing in-person under Florida’s current social distancing guidelines, and some are doing both. Here are some upcoming live and/or livestream concerts by musicians who either live in or have ties to the Sarasota-Manatee area. Bradenton Americana act Have Gun, Will Travel says it will host a full-band livestream performance tonight. The group is one of Sarasota-Manatee’s most acclaimed acts, earning write-ups from NPR and No Depression and appearing on the TV shows “The Good Wife” and “The Ranch.” Have Gun, Will Travel has also been hosting a weekly livestream show Wednesday nights on its Facebook page, typically featuring singer-songwriter and guitarist Matt Burke performing solo. 8 p.m. today; facebook.com/hgwtmusic; PayPal: hgwtmusic@outlook.com, Venmo: @Matty-B-5000

Bradenton-based blues act Doug Deming & the Jewel Tones has started playing live shows again, including at Mattison’s City Grille this week. Though the group resides in the Sarasota-Manatee area, they have a national fanbase, earning a Blues Blast Music Award nomination last year for Blues Band. They also reached No. 3 on Billboard’s blues albums chart for their 2018 record “Complicated Mess,” featuring guests including the late acclaimed blues guitarist Little Charlie Baty. 7 p.m. today; Mattison’s City Grille Downtown Sarasota, 1 N. Sarasota restaurant and venue Stottlemyer's Smokehouse continues to host live music, with this week's schedule including Damon Fowler. The Florida blues guitarist/singer-songwriter and former Anna Maria Island resident is an acclaimed solo artist who released his last album “The Whiskey Bayou Session” on Tab Benoit’s Whiskey Bayou Records. He has also played in the Dickey Betts Band and in the supergroup Southern Hospitality with Grammy-nominated pianist Victor Wainwright and fellow Floridian blues guitarist J.P. Soars. One of Sarasota-Manatee's most popular bands plans to hold a socially distanced concert at Sarasota Fairgrounds. Customers purchase access to a spaced-apart 8'x8' square, with each square able to accommodate a maximum of four guests. Seating is not provided, so lawn chairs or blankets are encouraged, and general admission is first-come, first-served. Sarasota area reggae favorites Jah Movement will return to Bradenton's Motorworks Brewing this weekend. The group features soulful lead singer Shantel Norman as well as Damie Caines, who used to play in fellow popular area reggae band Democracy alongside his late father, Oswald Caines. RJ Howson with Bobby Schneck

Mattison's Riverwalk Grille holds its monthly Blues Brunch, this month featuring Sarasota-based bluesman RJ Howson with special guest Bobby Schneck. Howson is well-known both for his performances with fellow musicians as well as his solo work, while Schneck has played with rock favorites like Aerosmith and the Slash Band in the past. Kettle of Fish

Sarasota rock group Kettle of Fish is set to play its weekly Sunday Funday show, now held at Big Top Brewing Company after taking place at Stottlemyer’s Smokehouse earlier this year. Fronted by guitarist and singer Dana Lawrence, the band’s current lineup also includes returning members Greg Poulos and Chris Guertin as well as Pat McDonald, a former drummer in the band of Charlie Daniels. Along with playing in-person performances again, Bradenton guitarist Steven Paradis continues his online show “Live from Paradis’ Porch." Paradis performs a wide-ranging selection of covers, including The Beatles’ “For No One,” Pink Floyd’s “Comfortably Numb,” J.J. Cale’s “Magnolia” and Radiohead’s “Creep” during one of his past shows. Paradis also recently performed a livestream concert playing the Yusuf/Cat Stevens album "Tea for the Tillerman," which turns 50 this year, in full. Singer-songwriter, Billy Joel band member and Bradenton resident Mike DelGuidice has been hosting Live on the Porch livestream concerts on his Facebook page, which he now says he’ll hold every Wednesday night. The shows draw around 50,000 views per episode, DelGuidice says, with Joel even hosting one on his own Facebook page. Along with touring with Joel as a guitarist/vocalist and fronting the Long Island-based Piano Man tribute band Big Shot, DelGuidice is a solo musician whose work includes “Ordinary Guy,” the theme song for the Kevin James CBS sitcom “Kevin Can Wait.” Show dates may vary based on touring schedule; check Facebook page in advance. 8:30 p.m. Wednesday; facebook.com/mikedelguidiceofficial

In addition to regular in-person gigs at the Swordfish Grill in Cortez and other local venues, Sarasota guitarist/singer-songwriter Ted Stevens also hosts a livestream concert every other Wednesday night on his Facebook page. Stevens calls it a "fast-paced retro-inspired guitar solo show performing original rockabilly, surf, blues and roots rockers," with free exclusive download giveaways to viewers.
