Community Calendar: COVID-19 booster clinic, chair yoga, Carlton Co. Trailblazers luncheon

COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic, 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., Carlton County Community Services Building, 14 N. 11th St., Cloquet. Carlton County will host a free COVID-19 vaccine booster clinic for community members age 18 and over. The Moderna vaccine will be offered. The clinic will be held on the second floor of the community services building, in the left side conference rooms. Registration is required, as there are limited doses available. Chair Yoga for All, 10 a.m., Cloquet Public Library. Led by Carolyn Ripp, chair yoga can increase flexibility, improve core strength and balance, reduce stress and pain, and more. It can be beneficial not only for seniors but for anyone who has desk work and/or tends to sit for a long period of time. Those who attend the free event should come in comfortable clothing. Carlton County Trailblazers 55 and Older Group (formerly the Retired Men's Group), 11 a.m. , Cloquet VFW, 210 Arch St. The Carlton County Trailblazers 55 and Older Group will host a luncheon meeting. The social hour will run from 11 a.m. to noon, followed by a meal. The menu will be a chicken dinner for $10 per person. The guest speaker will be the Cloquet Area Chamber of Commerce. Members of the public are welcome to attend.

Tech & Coffee, 9-11 a.m., Chickadee Coffeehouse & Deli, Barnum. Barnum Community Education hosts the free event. Community members can drop in to get help with their cell phones, e-readers, tablets, laptops, social media platforms and more. Community education staff and Nathan Rimolde from RTS will be on hand to answer questions.

Creative Memories Beat the Winter Blues Crafters' Weekend, 4-10 p.m., Zion Lutheran Church, 1000 Washington Ave., Cloquet. This event will focus on scrapbooking, but is open to any kind of crafting. Community members are invited to bring their projects for uninterrupted work time and plenty of work space. No matter what their craft is, all are welcome to come. The event is open to the public. Digital Wellness for Teens, Tweens and Caregivers, 6-7:30 p.m., Cloquet Public Library. The Carlton County Youth Collaborative will discuss digital wellness. Caregivers can attend with their child or come alone. A light meal will be served and child care will be provided for younger siblings or family members.

Father/Daughter Dance, 5:30-7:30 p.m., Cromwell Pavilion. The FCromwell Area Community Club will host a Father/Daughter Dance. Advance tickets are $20 per couple, $5 for each additional girl. Grief Support Group meets on the second and fourth Tuesdays of each month from 7-8:30 p.m. in the Pine Room at Community Memorial Hospital.
