A four-bedroom, 3,000-square-foot Craftsman-style bungalow in Riverside that dates to 1909 sold in late April for $580,000.

Located on Scottswood Road, the house is less than a block from the landmark Frank Lloyd Wright-designed Coonley Estate, which is of the same vintage.

The Scottswood Road house’s architect is not known, listing agent Rory Dominick of Keller Williams told Elite Street. Her clients bought the mansion in 2007 for $685,000 and did not do much work to the house.

“They liked it as-is,” Dominick said. “They raised their sons there, and it was a real family home.”

The sellers listed the house in the real estate agents’ private listing network, meaning that it was never officially listed to the public. However, some details are public including that the house has three full bathrooms, hardwood floors and a fireplace in the living room. In addition, the house has a second-floor primary bedroom with a balcony overlooking the front yard, and it has some bold color choices for the front door and front porch.

“The people who bought it loved it and loved the look of it,” Dominick said. “It’s very unique home. And you can see the Coonley Estate from it.”

Dominick noted that despite the fact that the house needs some work, her clients received two offers for the house in January.

The house had a $13,498 property tax bill in the 2020 tax year.
